Compendium of In-Service Training Resources

Compendium of In-Service Training Resources

Building Core Competencies of Personnel Working in Children's
Mental Health

This collection of resources provides information for states and communities about competency-based, in-service curricula and training materials being used by State Mental Health Agencies to increase the knowledge, skills, and attitudes (competencies) of professional and/or paraprofessional personnel from various disciplines and specialties who are working in children's mental health. The Compendium developed through a partnership among the NASMHPD Children's Division Workgroup on Leadership and Workforce, the National Research Institute of NASMHPD and Georgetown's National TA Center in 2007 briefly describes the specific training curricula and materials currently being used for in-service in a number of states and how interested states or communities can access these resources.

Are you aware of formal training curriculum that could be added to this Compendium?  The National Technical Assistance Center would like this Compendium to be a growing resource databank for states and communities. We welcome your suggestions for additions to this Compendium.
