Promising Managed Care Approaches for Behavioral Health Services for Children and Families in Child Welfare

Child Welfare Initiative and the Health Care Reform Tracking Project

The Health Care Reform Tracking Project (HCRTP) included a special focus on the effects of managed care on children and families involved in the child welfare system. Child welfare stakeholders were included as respondents in all phases of the HCRTP, and each study publication included a special analysis related to children and families served by the child welfare system.

Partners in the HCRTP

The HCRTP was conducted jointly by the National Technical Assistance Center for Children's Mental Health at Georgetown University, the Research and Training Center for Children's Mental Health at the University of South Florida (USF), and the Human Service Collaborative of Washington, DC.

Co-Funders of the HCRTP

Co-funders of the HCRTP included the National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research, U.S. Department of Education; Center for Mental Health Services, Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). Supplemental funding provided by: Administration for Children and Families (DHHS), the David and Lucile Packard Foundation, and the Center for Health Care Strategies, Inc.
