The Developmental Evaluation Clinic:

• provides diagnostic services
• serves children between birth and two years of age
• for babies who were born premature or other high risk factors
• Referred by their pediatrician or parents because of developmental concerns

The team consists of:

• a developmental pediatrician 
• clinical psychologist
• occupational therapist
• physical therapist

The Georgetown team uses informal observations and standardized assessment tools to assess the following :

• neurological functioning (Infant Motor Screen)
• cognitive/language abilities (Bayley Scales-Mental Scale)
• motor functioning (Bayley Scales-Motor Scale)
• Feedback and community resources are provided for the families
• Home suggestions are discussed
