The Coalition for Human Resource Development
The Coalition for Human Resource Development, comprised of over 27 national organizations and professionals guilds, was developed with the goal of strengthening service delivery and clinical practice in systems of care by advancing pre-service and in-service training to:
- Reflect new knowledge and practices in the field of children's mental health delivery systems, and
- Increase the capacity of the workforce to use system of care strategies when working with children with mental health problems and their families.
The Coalition for Human Resource Development has provided its expertise and assisted with a number of activities such as a Special Forum at the Training Institutes, a state Search Conference, Primer Hands-On Training, recommendations to the President's New Freedom Commission on Mental Health, and the Annapolis Coalition to enlarge the public sector workforce of individuals working with children with behavioral health issues and their families within a system of care framework.
