Internal Accountability

The Evaluation Initiative will provide the National Technical Assistance Center's faculty and staff with timely evaluation information about their technical assistance activities and document dissemination for the purpose of quality assurance and improvement. This accountability effort will be guided by a Logic Model developed to ensure that all activities and products meet our articulated goals. These quality assurance mechanisms and assessment strategies will assist National TA Center staff in providing more effective and accessible activities to diverse audiences. Our main goals are:

  • To demonstrate how evaluations influence in-house planning of future Center meetings and products;
  • To demonstrate how the National TA Center is responsive to our clients comments; and
  • To demonstrate how evaluations help to assess the National TA Center's impact in children's services nationwide, justifying the effort and investment of professionals and organizations in our National TA Center activities.

Assessment Strategies of the National TA Center 

The Technical Assistance Center currently conducts a series of assessments to obtain feedback from states and other users regarding the impact of technical assistance provided by the Center. Surveys have been developed for particular technical assistance activities including:

  • Document evaluations
  • Meeting evaluations
  • Consultation/technical assistance evaluations
  • Inservice and outreach training evaluations, and
  • Broad surveys of states and key organizations that utilize multiple Center services.
