Early Childhood

The Center for Child and Human Development has a long-standing commitment to early childhood programs and services.   Faculty are involved in a wide array of activities supporting the development of comprehensive early childhood systems of care for young children, with a special emphasis on those at-risk for compromised development.  Faculty provide:

• technical assistance to state and community leaders who are building systems of care
• community-based services and supports including developmental screening
• clinical services for young children and their families 
• consultation and support for early childhood program evaluations and research using a participatory action approach.
